Industry education events are one of the most important events your florist can participate in. Generally industry events take place each spring and fall. Here at Rosemont Floral we participate in as many programs as possible, always all that are held in Maine and many held outside of Maine.

Over the next several weekends we'll be attending several programs. We're excited to be heading for the Northeast Floral Expo at the end of this coming week, it is one of the premier events held on the east coast. We've attended the expo for the last 6 years Here we will participate in design shows, business clinics and workshops encompassing many subjects - from wedding workshops to branding and merchandising seminars. We will also have the opportunity to learn about new products, the latest trends, the newest design techniques and the most up-to-date care and handling procedures. We'll also have a chance to visit with many of our vendors and fellow florists. We look forward to going each year, this year is no exception!

 Our store will be closed on Saturday, February 24th so that our staff can attend the Northeast Floral Expo. Look for "From the Expo" posts and read all about what we're learning!!

Erlene will be headed down to Conencticut a day early to attend a Microsoft Event for the release of the latest in software, Vista, Office 2007, etc. For those of you that don't know, she has an all consuming passion for technology and gadgets, she'll be in her glory! In addition to learning all about the new software, Microsoft is giving away copies of Office 2007 and Groove 2007 to seminar attendees. Yippee, something new to play with and explore in her free time!!
