New England Spring Flower Show- Boston

Lisa Greene AAF, AIFD, PFCI of Nunan Florist in Georgetown MA created a garden for the New England Spring Flower Show in Boston MA. The show ran from March 17-25 at the Bayside Expo Center in Boston. The show drew over 125,000 spectators who viewed the floral arrangements and gardens that were created to give them a taste of spring. The show opened on a stormy Saturday that accumulated 10" of snow. Greene's garden featured an outdoor "powder room" complete with a grass covered vanity, moss covered chair and a "bubble" bath created with 170 pots of forced white alyssum. The centerpiece of the garden was a "floral" patterned rug crafted from 4" pots of annuals.

The garden won a silver medal from the Massachusetts Horticultural Society. And the following trophies:

Patricia Pruyn Storey Award: To the outdoor garden which, because of the condition and maintenance of its plant materials throughout the show, best serves the public.

Superlative Award for Garden Annuals: For an unusual and innovative show of annuals.
