Special Guest Designer

The littlest Avante Gardener, Anna 'Rosie' Rulloda, made a guest designer appearance this weekend at our shop.

She was planting up Easter centerpiece gardens of pansies to raise funds for a contribution to Heifer International, an organization which helps provide needy families with training and livestock to help alleviate hunger and poverty.  Anna learned about Heifer through her school and she and fellow students committed to help a less fortunate family obtain these much needed resources.

She says "I hope everybody will consider giving a gift through the Heifer fund."

This isn't her first planting job since she helps her dad at home by making succulent gardens, too.

Anna worked hard and helped assemble 40 baskets - and made her mom very proud in the process. :)

Kathy,

Your post made me smile!

I remember when I met Rosie a few years ago when I was out there for the AIFD membership prep session and you had us all over for dinner. I told my wife your family radiated with love...and I can tell it still does.

We have children ranging from 23 to 5... and all have REALLY enjoyed their time in the store. It is one of the blessings of having a family run flower shop. Cherish it because they grow up and move out all too quickly!

My family also supports Heiffer, and agree it is a wonderful organization.

Happy Easter to the Rulloda's

Vince
