Human Flower Project Hits 1000
If you haven't read Julie Ardery's Human Flower Project, you're missing the best blog about all-things-floral on the web.
Earlier this week, Julie mentioned she'd reached the amazing 1000 post milestone.
And it so happens that this post is the 1000th entry on the Human Flower Project, a milestone for which no banana belts will be awarded. We would like, however, to send thanks to all our contributing writers, members, visitors, and friends. And we send special greeting to those who have tripped over the e-threshold unawares. A quick look back at “search terms” shows a very few of the many interests that brought you here.
True to form, in her humorous and self-effacing style, she lists some of the wacky and obscure sets of keywords that lead readers to her pages. What were those people thinking?
For flower lovers, Julie is a bright blossom in a web garden cluttered with weeds of flower hawkers. (Nothing wrong with selling flowers, mind you. ;) ) Her intelligence and passion shine through with every article as she focuses on the many ways flowers touch and influence people's lives.
I'm going to quote myself from an earlier blog comment and restate:
In a perfect world, consumers would get (Julie's) blog when they queried Google for 'Flowers' instead of pages of 'cookie cutter' bouquets sold through affiliate marketers.
(Her) writing celebrates the wonder and spirit of the experience with flowers and is truly a reminder why they hold such a powerful sway on humanity. It's a 'must read' for anyone interested in floral history, traditions and trends.
Congratulations, Julie! Here's to your next 1000!
