The Wall Street Journal's Advice on Sending Flowers
Applause and a bouquet to The Wall Street Journal Online's Bryan Keogh for writing about why it's best to locate a florist who will actually deliver your flowers rather than using an online broker who "will typically take a sizable cut and charge a service fee".
Following his advice to "describe the personality of the recipient, the mood you hope to evoke and the colors you prefer, so the florist can be creative with what's on hand" is simply the best way to ensure quality, freshness and value.
Why? Only the florist who will deliver your flowers knows what fresh, top quality blossoms he/she has in stock - not some call center staffer sitting in a cubicle or a boiler plate relay service website.
If the smart money on Wall Street is skipping the floral middlemen, don't you think you should, too?
