Virtual Flowers, Real Fun
Google for 'Virtual Flowers' and you'll basically get pages of lead generator sites for order gatherers (affiliate marketers of florist wire service products). It seems as if the 'virtual' category has been a spam magnet for order brokers since the birth of search engines; followed closely by 'florist directories'. ;-)
If you're looking for real fun from some interactive virtual flowers sites, I'd like to recommend a few real gems:
FlowerMaker from zefrank.com - Create a flower uniquely you with the easy interface, name it, add your location, and then view it in a splendid community garden of creations contributed from around the world. It's amazing to see the huge array of floral art and feel the spirit of a world community all in one incredible spot.
Seeds of Imagination from GE - Your words literally make your flower grow. Thoughts, feelings and emotions all contribute to the resulting blossoms, as well as the interactive environment. The resulting flowers are incredibly unique and engaging.
Topic Flowers - Generates flowers from your text. Simply type or cut and paste to generate an original flower. Notes at the foot of the page help interpret your resulting virtual blossom.
None of these sites offer the benefits of real flowers but you're virtually guaranteed hours real fun.
