It's a Pirates of the Caribbean Flower Arrangement, Matey

Our design team loves it when customers allow us to have fun on the job. We received a special request last week to create a Pirates of the Caribbean themed arrangement in celebration of Friday's movie opening and a special young lady's birthday. Her party was to start at home and then progress to a local theater where she and her guests watched Dead Man's Chest.

Every pirate arrangement needs a treasure chest so we started with that base and built a grouped design featuring ginger (actually grown in the Caribbean) anthuriums, orchids annd coordinating seasonal flowers and tropical leaves.  To carry through the theme, the Avante Gardens team used brightly colored beads and gold covered chocolate coins.  Had we seen the film before making the design, we would have known to include a heart. ;-)

I understand the flower-filled chest was a hit at the party.   Yo-ho-ho to the client that let us create this Arrgh-angement.   (Bad Pirate talk courtesy of International Talk Like a Pirate Day.)
