Wheatgrass in Flower Arrangements

The benefits of wheatgrass to good health have long been known, but were you aware that it can also make a lush, verdant addition to fresh floral designs?

The Avante Gardens design team has used wheatgrass in a variety of ways in wedding and special event decor to bring a fresh, spring-like touch to the occasions.

For one particular wedding, our designers created a custom tray and stand to offset a clever tulip theme wedding cake made by Beverly's Best Bakery of Fullerton, CA.  

The theme was continued along the couple's head table with the use of low trays accented with borders of assorted fresh tulips. 

In another event, we incorporated the plant material in decor for a party hosted by an organic foods company. The client desired a look that conveyed a natural yet leading edge impression as part of their corporate entertaining during the Natural Products Expo West trade show. 

The focal point of the room was a set of designs including a 3.5' tall buffet arrangement filled with red seasonal flowers and a base design accented with a low, round wheatgrass-filled vase into which red tulip blossoms were nestled. 

Cocktail tables featured 6" sqaure glass vases filled with wheatgrass and vibrant red tulips that were abstacted and tied to give a more conteporary, artistic feel.
